University of Ibadan, Ibadan recorded another feat as Miss Owolabi Habeebah Olayinka, a Postgraduate Student of the Department of Botany, Faculty of Science graduated with a perfect CGPA of 7.0. This was announced by the Provost, Postgraduate College, University of Ibadan, Prof. Jonathan Babalola today 14th of November, 2019 being the third day of the Convocation programme holding at the International Conference Center, Ibadan. This is coming barely 48hours after the University celebrated Miss. Ofure Mary Ebhomielen who also graduated with a perfect CGPA of 7.0 in the Undergraduate category.

One Nurudeen, who reside at Dawaki in Abuja, was electrocuted while trying to damage AEDC armored cable. He was electrocuted on the spot. AEDC and police officials came and brought him down. The police says they are investigating the matter. See photos below

As the crisis within the APC in Edo state deepens, Governor Godwin Obaseki, the state governor, yesterday denied claims made by supporters of his predecessor and APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomole, that the latter facilitated his emergence as governor of the state. Obaseki denied the claims at a meeting organised by members of the APC in the state to ratify the suspension of Oshiomole from the party. He stressed that no one made him a governor and that his emergence as a governor is by the grace of God. It has been confirmed earlier this morning that another storey building has collapsed in Ojuelegba Lagos state about 8:40pm after the collapse of three storey building. A journalist who visited the affected area said that no live was lost during the incident but it has not been really confirmed actually base on the report giving to us by some people leaving there they gave there speech to the journalist they said that those leaving in that storey building have already vacate the building before incident. Segun Awosanya, an activist popularly known as segalink, has asked the  Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to conduct an investigation  into a bullion van that allegedly brought a large tranche of cash into  Bola Tinubu's Lagos home on the eve of the 2019 presidential election. The anti-corruption agency has requested petitions on the politicians  displaying "wealth that can't be justified". Men of the Niger state Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have arrested a 20-year-old man, Mustapha Aliyu, for throwing his four months old son into river Uti in Borgu local government area of the state. When arrested, Mustapha who is an indigene of Kebbi state, said he acted in anger because the mother of the baby refused to take care of the baby and left the child in his custody. He blamed the devil for his action . “I couldn’t take care of the baby alone. I was not happy that the mother left him with me. I do not even know what got into me. It is the devil handwork.” he told newsmen The Niger State NSCDC Commandant, George Edem, said that the corpse of the baby is yet to be found.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has injected 297.92 million dollars into the retail Secondary Market Intervention Sales (SMIS). The bank’s Director, Corporate Communications Department, Mr Isaac Okorafor made this known in a statement in Abuja on Friday. Okorafor disclosed that CBN also injected CNY21.2million in the spot and short-tenured forwards segment of the inter-bank foreign market. According to him, the United States dollars-denominated transactions are to meet requests in the agricultural and raw materials sectors, while those in Chinese Yuan are for Renminbi-denominated Letters of Credit. The director reiterated that the bank’s management was satisfied with the continued stability in the foreign exchange market. He assured that the CBN remained committed to meeting foreign exchange needs of all sectors of the economy. Meanwhile, N358 was exchanged to a dollar, while CNY1 exchanged at N46 at the Bureau De Change (BDC) segment of the foreign exchange market on...
