Another Two storey building collapse in Ojuelegba Lagos state
It has been confirmed
earlier this morning that another storey building has collapsed in Ojuelegba
Lagos state about 8:40pm after the collapse of three storey building.
A journalist who visited the affected area said that no live was lost
during the incident but it has not been really confirmed actually base on the
report giving to us by some people leaving there they gave there speech to the
journalist they said that those leaving in that storey building have already
vacate the building before incident.
According to the tenants leaving around there they said that the building
started collapsing by giving some crack since October 18, 2019.
Mr Emeka Anozie residing in that area said that after one of the window
collapsed around 7pm he informed the remaining tenants about the issue at hand
telling them to come out quickly, they after altering them about few minutes
the building collapsed The NAN also learnt that LASBCA (Lagos State Building
Control Agency) had on March 2019 marked the building and warned the tenants to
vacate the building as well as the landlord.
It was noticed that on May 21 the LASBCA issued another warning to the
landlord, Dr. Olufemi Oke Osanyintolu Director General LASEMA said that after
he mobilize his team to ensure protection of lives people in that area. He reported
the issued to the environment and safety officials of Lagos state to demolished
the building.
